Snowflake Lights
In the south it is rare that snow falls in December. There’s rarely a hope for a white Christmas, but that does not mean they cannot have snowflakes. Snowflake Lights are a unique decorative lighting option for the holidays. They bring a flair to holiday lighting beyond the standard white string lights that normally adorn porch eaves and rooftops.
Snowflake lights can either be hung outside similarly to traditional Christmas lights or attached via suction cup to the interior of windows.
The lights come in a variety of shapes and sizes (just like real snowflakes). They can either be traditional white or you can opt for the multi colored LED lights that change colors based on a preset pattern. Indoor LED Lights are relatively easy to install and require no cord or outlet power. Simply clean the window pane and attach with the suction cup. The all you have to do is flip on the switch and you are good to go. Care should be taken when hanging external snowflake lights. It will most likely involve a ladder and some manner of pinning the lights into place. It is best if you do not attempt to install these by yourself. You should get someone to help you.
The indoor snowflake lights come in sets of 3-10 and generally cost between $4 and $9 a piece. The outdoor sets are similar in quantity and price. Outdoor lights can either be battery operated or feature a plug that can be plugged into any outlet.
Snowflake lights are a welcome change from traditional Christmas lights and if used in the proper way can provide extra holiday cheer around the house.
