Outdoor Rope Lights
Outdoor rope lights are an interesting option for Christmas lighting projects. Outdoor rope lights are basically standard indoor/outdoor Christmas lights that are threaded through a vinyl tube. The tube glows from the light produced by the twinkle lights creating a unique effect. You can use outdoor rope lights to create scallops of Christmas lights on your home, to wrap trees and shrubs in your yard and to decorate other items outside that you may not want light bulbs making direct contact with, such as inflatable decorations or Christmas wreaths.
Like other types of Christmas lighting systems, outdoor rope lights come in a variety of colors. The most common color options for rope lights including white, blue, red and multi-color. Many outdoor rope sets also include light pattern options such as solid color, twinkle, follow-the-leader and pulsating. You can even speed up or slow down the light pattern that you select.
