Nativity Scenes
A nativity scene is a very traditional outside Christmas decoration. This type of decoration features characters from the Biblical nativity scene, including the Virgin Mary, Joseph, the baby Jesus, the three wise men and a variety of barnyard animals. The nativity scene will also typically include a manger, a barn structure façade, hay and a simple lighting system.
When buying a nativity scene display for your yard you will want to select one that has all of the characteristics that you want. Since you normally buy each piece separately, you can choose which characters to include in your nativity scene and which ones to leave out. The most basic nativity scenes will include a manger, a baby Jesus, Mary and Joseph. If you are interested in creating a very elaborate manger scene then you can add hay to the manger and to the ground where your nativity scene characters are set up, you can add a star of Bethlehem to the background and you can invest in a spot light and twinkle light system to illuminate your nativity scene. You can even add sound to your nativity scene using hidden speakers and a music system that plays Christmas music.
